President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received Czech Ambassador Petr Pirunčík on the occasion of Statehood Day of the Czech Republic, the President’s Office said in a press release.
President Khachaturyan congratulated the people and government of the Czech Republic on their national day, wishing them welfare, development, and peace, and expressed confidence that relations based on mutual respect and trust will continue to expand and deepen, according to the readout.
Ambassador Pirunčík expressed gratitude for the reception and warm congratulations, and reaffirmed the Czech government’s readiness to continue deepening bilateral cooperation with Armenia and to further develop the partnership in regional and multilateral formats.
During the meeting, the President and the Ambassador discussed the current state of bilateral ties and prospects for future development. They emphasized the importance of cooperation in areas of mutual interest. President Khachaturyan and Ambassador Pirunčík noted that active contacts and collaboration at various levels between the two countries contribute to the deepening of relations and the implementation of new initiatives.
The cooperation between Armenia and the Czech Republic within the EU framework was also addressed, with both parties emphasizing the implementation of mutually beneficial initiatives that will contribute not only to the strengthening of bilateral ties, but also to the development of Armenia-EU relations.
