Thousands affected by war-time rights violations - Armenian ombudsperson

The mass human rights violations during and after the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War have had a profound impact on the fate of thousands of people, Human Rights Defender of Armenia Anahit Manasyan said in a statement on September 27, marking the fifth anniversary of the 44-Day War of 2020.

“The mass violations of human rights that occurred during and after the 44-day military operations have left a deep mark on the destinies of thousands. The Human Rights Defender of Armenia reaffirms commitment to consistently protecting the rights of individuals and families affected by the war, using all tools available under the mandate, with the important goal of guaranteeing the supremacy of human rights, a dignified life, and a peaceful and secure future,” Manasyan stated.
