Government expects 5,4% economic growth in 2026

The government envisages a GDP of 11 trillion 933 billion drams under the 2026 state budget, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan said at the Cabinet meeting.

The draft state budget for next year was approved at the meeting.

“The economic growth forecast is 5.4%, while the GDP deflator is projected at 3%,” he said.

Revenues are expected to reach 3 trillion 91 billion drams, of which over 2.9 trillion will come from tax revenue.

The tax-to-GDP ratio is expected to improve by 0.4 percentage points as a result of improved tax administration and efforts to combat the shadow economy.

Expected spending is at 3,6 trillion drams.
