Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a meeting with Austria’s Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, during the UNGA High-Level Week in New York.
The foreign ministers discussed “initiatives aimed at the dynamic development of bilateral relations between Armenia and Austria,” the foreign ministry said in a readout.
Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Beate Meinl-Reisinger also exchanged views on prospects for deepening the partnership between Armenia and the European Union. Minister Mirzoyan highly appreciated Austria’s support for various initiatives, highlighting, among others, the ongoing efforts to expand people-to-people contacts and improve market access.
“The mechanisms of partnership aimed at effectively responding to the challenges encountered on the path of democratic reforms were also addressed,” the foreign ministry added.
The two ministers also discussed regional developments, as well as cooperation within multilateral platforms.
