On September 24, a regular meeting of the Coordinating Council of Heads of Tax (Financial) Investigation Bodies of CIS Member States was held in Yerevan.

Armenia assumed the rotating chairmanship of the Council from Kazakhstan for a one-year term.

The officials discussed cooperation among CIS countries, particularly in areas such as ensuring economic security, combating the financing of extremism and terrorism, fighting illicit financial flows, tackling economic crimes, and evaluating the results of preventative measures.

Official delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan participated in the session. However, Azerbaijan, Moldova, and Ukraine — all members of the Council — did not take part.

Armenian State Revenue Committee Chairman Eduard Hakobyan delivered remarks at the meeting.

Uzbekistan is set to assume the chairmanship from Armenia next year.
