Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with a delegation led by Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov.
The Prime Minister welcomed Mr. Zafirov’s visit and said that the high-level political and cultural ties between Armenia and Bulgaria should serve as a foundation for developing and deepening economic cooperation, his office said in a press release.
PM Pashinyan expressed hope that Mr. Zafirov’s visit would lead to intensified collaboration and tangible outcomes.
The Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister thanked him for the warm reception and congratulated the Prime Minister on Independence Day. He highlighted the millennia-old ties between the two nations and emphasized that Bulgaria places great importance on expanding trade and economic relations with Armenia.
In this context, both sides stressed the need to organize business forums and strengthen cooperation across various sectors of the economy.
They also discussed Armenia-EU cooperation, along with other issues of regional significance.
Deputy Prime Minister Zafirov welcomed the U.S.-brokered Washington agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the establishment of peace.
