Top colonels promoted to major general

Three top colonels of the Armed Forces of Armenia have been promoted to the rank of Major General by presidential decree, Defense Minister Suren Papikyan announced on Friday.
He stated that the promotion was made pursuant to a proposal from Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The decrees formalized by President Vahagn Khachaturyan awarded the title of Major General to Colonel Garik Movsesyan, Head of the Air Defense Forces of the General Staff; Colonel Hovhannes Vardanyan, Head of Aviation of the General Staff; and Colonel Samvel Minasyan, Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces.
