Minister of culture inspects maintenance work at Armenian Genocide memorial

Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan has once again inspected the ongoing renovation work at the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan.

The contractor briefed the minister on the progress, stating that the work is proceeding as expected.

According to a press release from the ministry, Minister Andreasyan emphasized the importance of expert consultations to ensure the renovation is carried out properly.

The ministry also noted that Andreasyan will continue to personally oversee the renovation through regular on-site visits.

Minister Andreasyan earlier told lawmakers in parliament that no maintenance work had been carried out at the memorial in the past 60 years, leading to technical problems such as issues with the water drainage system.
