Deputy FM, Swedish Ambassador discuss Armenia-EU partnership

On September 12, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan received Eva Sundquist, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Armenia, on the occasion of presenting the copy of her credentials, the foreign ministry said.

Both sides emphasized the active and constructive political dialogue that has developed between the two countries in recent years, based on democratic principles and shared values.

The sides highlighted the importance of the continued constructive cooperation between Armenia and Sweden in the process of democratic reforms in Armenia, as well as the expansion of the established cooperation with the Nordic-Baltic countries (NB8).

The interlocutors also discussed issues of the Armenia-EU partnership agenda.

The Deputy Foreign Minister briefed on the agreements reached in Washington within the normalisation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Emphasising Armenia's determination to achieve sustainable peace in the South Caucasus, Vahan Kostanyan outlined the opportunities that unblocking regional communications would create.
