Armenian, Iranian officials discuss regional developments, normalization with Turkiye

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Ruben Rubinyan held a meeting on Tuesday in Yerevan with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahid Jalalzadeh.

“The bilateral relations with friendly Iran built upon mutual respect and trust are of great importance for Armenia,” Rubinyan said at the meeting, according to a press release by his office.

“Mutual visits help us make the bilateral agenda more comprehensive and maintain active dialogue and close cooperation.”

The latest regional developments were discussed.

At the request of the Iranian official, Rubinyan presented details about the Armenia-Turkiye normalization process.

Rubinyan serves as the Armenian Special Representative for Normalization with Turkiye.
