Prosecutor-General of Armenia, Anna Vardapetyan, held a meeting on Tuesday with Attorney General of the Swiss Confederation Stefan Blättler, on the sidelines of the 30th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) in Singapore.
Vardapetyan thanked her Swiss counterpart for accepting the invitation to hold a meeting and discuss prospects for developing cooperation in the criminal justice sector, Vardapetyan’s office said in a press release.
Vardapetyan lauded the existing cooperation between the prosecutions of Armenia and Switzerland and expressed gratitude for the support by Swiss partners within the framework of money laundering investigations in Armenia.
The discussion also touched upon the opportunities of developing international-legal cooperation and prospects of deepening partnership between the two countries as part of Eurojust.
Vardapetyan was nominated as member of the IAP Executive Committee during the body's April 8 meeting in Buenos Aires. The election of a member to the Executive Committee is expected during the current session.
