Mirzoyan congratulates new UK Foreign Secretary, thanks David Lammy for cooperation

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan congratulated Yvette Cooper on her appointment as UK Foreign Secretary and thanked former UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, who has been appointed UK Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary, for the fruitful cooperation.

Congratulating Yvette Cooper, Mirzoyan noted that he looked forward to working together to further deepen the Armenia- UK Strategic Partnership, including boosting economic relations.

“Wishing you every success in your new role,” Mirzoyan said in a post on X.

Expressing gratitude to David Lammy for his commitment to developing the partnership with Armenia during his tenure as Foreign Secretary, Mirzoyan noted that it was a privilege for him to work together to strengthen relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom.

“Congratulations on your new role as Deputy Prime Minister & Justice Secretary. Wishing you every success in this next chapter,’’ he said.
