Armenian, Kazakh constitutional courts sign MoU

An MoU has been signed between the constitutional courts of Armenia and Kazakhstan to set up a framework for partnership and cooperation in the legal sector and exchange experience in constitutional justice.

The document was signed by Armenian Constitutional Court President Arman Dilanyan and his Kazakh counterpart Elvira Azimova in Astana, the press service of the constitutional court said.

According to the press release, the goal of the MoU is to “promote the creation of a framework for cooperation and collaboration in the legal field, to facilitate the exchange of experience in the field of constitutional justice, and to study constitutional law and its practical application in both countries, in the context of dispute resolution in constitutional law, aiming to foster constitutional justice and ensure the universally recognized democratic principles, as well as the guarantees for the protection of human rights and civil liberties."
