Armenia, China sign cultural cooperation program

Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan, who is on a working visit to China as part of the delegation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, met with China's Minister of Culture and Tourism Sun Yeli, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia has said.

The meeting focused on the current high level of Armenian-Chinese cooperation in the field of culture and its development prospects. The sides emphasized the importance of expanding and deepening bilateral cultural ties as a key factor in strengthening friendship between peoples with millennia-old histories and rich cultures.

Minister Zhanna Andreasyan expressed satisfaction with the recent active cooperation and organization of joint exhibitions between leading museums in Armenia and China.

Minister Sun Yeli noted that the direct flights between the two countries have created new opportunities for Armenian and Chinese tourists, making cultural tourism more dynamic and accessible.

The parties discussed issues aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of culture.

At the end of the meeting, the Armenian and Chinese ministers signed a 2026–2029 cultural cooperation program between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China.
