China supports Iran in safeguarding its sovereignty: Xi Jinping

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday, September 2, in Beijing, highlighting the growing strategic partnership between Tehran and Beijing, according to WANA News.

During the meeting, President Xi underscored China’s respect for Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy and reaffirmed Beijing’s support for Iran in safeguarding its national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“China supports Iran in protecting its national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and dignity, as well as in defending its legitimate rights and interests through negotiations,” Xi said.
