Substantive discussions around the US-brokered Armenian-Azerbaijani joint declaration are yet to take place, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said.

“Dear colleagues, the Armenia-Azerbaijan-US trilateral declaration signed in Washington isn’t a voluminous document. It is a document with just five points, where five terms are mentioned – territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, inviolability of borders, reciprocity. Whoever speaks beyond this framework has nothing to do with reality. While everything in this framework is discussible and possible,” Pashinyan said at a press briefing.

No discussions are taking place currently, he said.

“We aren’t discussing anything because there’ve been no substantive discussions on this topic after August 8. We will start more substantive discussions in September with the US on their part and Azerbaijan on their part,” he said.
