Gaspar Terteryan wins gold at World U20 Wrestling Championships

Armenian wrestler Gaspar Terteryan in the 72 kg weight category won a gold medal at the 2025 U20 World Wrestling Championships. In the decisive match, he defeated Uzbekistan’s Ahmad Kodirov. 

At the start of the tournament, Terteryan confidently beat his Azerbaijani opponent 6:2, then won the Asian U20 champion from Kazakhstan with a score of 3:1.

In the quarterfinals, he prevailed over the Bulgarian representative, and in the semifinals defeated the wrestler from Greece 5:1.
