Armenian Security Council Secretary holds phone call with Russian counterpart

Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan spoke by phone on Thursday with his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoigu.

According to a readout, Grigoryan presented the Armenian-Azerbaijani agreements signed on August 8 in Washington, D.C., and stated that peace has been established in the region, which is in the interest of all regional countries.

He also spoke about the unblocking of regional connection routes and the resulting economic opportunities, emphasizing its importance in terms of the interests of all countries, Grigoryan’s office said.

Shoigu presented the outcomes of the Putin-Trump summit in Alaska and the ongoing course.

Issues pertaining to the Armenia-Russia agenda were also discussed.
