Armenia, Greece discuss stronger ties

Armenian Ambassador to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan has met with the country’s Deputy Foreign Minister Giannis Loverdos to discuss the need for stronger partnership between the two countries in a number of areas, the embassy said in a statement.

The two officials drew special attention to cooperation between Armenian and Greek community organizations.

Loverdos said that Armenian community organizations – both in Greece and other countries – have serious potential to achieve great success in case of cooperation with Greek community organizations.

The trilateral cooperation of diaspora organizations involving Cyprus was also discussed.

The ambassador presented the growing cooperation in several areas and the planned high-level visits between Armenia and Greece. The Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and its importance for regional development was also discussed.
