Armenian, Iranian officials discuss joint energy projects

Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Vardan Kostanyan  met with a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ahmad Zeraatkar, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure has said.

Kostanyan welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of strengthening economic ties between the two countries. He emphasized the involvement of Iranian companies in infrastructure projects implemented in Armenia.

Zeraatkar expressed gratitude for the reception and noted that the close partnership between Armenia and Iran is yielding positive results in various fields.

During the meeting,  the sides discussed the  "Construction of the 400 kV Iran-Armenia overhead power line and corresponding substation, the "Gas for electricity" programs, plans for further cooperation, as well as other sectoral issues.

 The sides agreed to continue discussions.
