Russia, UAE and China named top Armenian export destinations

Russia, the UAE and China are the top export destinations for Armenian goods, according to official statistics for January-June 2025.

In the reporting period Armenia exported a total of over $3,7 billion worth of goods, which is a 52,8% decrease year-on-year, the Statistical Committee said in a report.

Exports to Eurasian Economic Union member states amounted to more than $1,4 billion – a decrease of 5,2%.

Exports to EU countries grew 1,8%, amounting to over $286,7 million.

Most of the Armenian exports went to Russia (over $1,3 billion), a decrease of 6,2%.

The second top exports destination is the United Arab Emirates with nearly $1,1 billion (70,3% drop).

China is the third top export destination for Armenian goods with more than $288 million (59,6% decrease).

Meanwhile, exports to Brazil grew more than 37 times, amounting to $2,7 million. Exports to Japan increased 2,7 times, comprising $10,2 million.

$5,4 million worth of goods were exported to Austria – a 2,6-time increase.

Most of the exported items were once again precious and semi-precious stones, precious metals, and items made from them (nearly $1,3 billion), but the figure has dropped 77%. The products are followed by machinery and equipment ($551 million), and finished food products ($550 million), a 31,9% increase.
