Aronian leads at Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz

Levon Aronian is leading the rankings at the Grand Chess Tour: Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz 2025 after day 1 of the tournament.

Aronian won in all three games – he defeated the current world champion Gukesh Dommaraju, then Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and Nodirbek Abdusattorov.

Fabiano Caruana, Gukesh Dommaraju, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Wesley So, Maxime Vachier‑Lagrave, Levon Aronian, along with wildcard invitees Leinier Domínguez‑Pérez, Liem Quang Le, Sam Shankland and Grigoriy Oparin are participating in the tournament.
