Mirzoyan, Kallas discuss Washington accords, Armenia-EU ties

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan held a telephone conversation with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, the foreign ministry has said.
Referring to the Washington accords of August 8, Mirzoyan stressed the importance of the initialing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, describing it as the most significant milestone so far in the normalization process between the two countries.
He emphasized that the agreement on unblocking regional communications, particularly the implementation of the "Trump Path for International Peace and Prosperity" project, would significantly enhance connectivity in the South Caucasus and beyond.
Mirzoyan thanked Kallas for the EU's congratulations.
The sides also discussed the Armenia-EU partnership and the importance of ensuring the inclusiveness of regional programs.
