FM Mirzoyan, Iranian counterpart Araghchi hold phone call

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Armenian Foreign Ministry has said.

Minister Mirzoyan presented the results of the meetings held in Washington on August 8, including the agreements reached on the unblocking and development of regional communications and further work. He emphasized that, as the Republic of Armenia has repeatedly stated, the Washington Declaration confirms that the operation of infrastructure, including that to be built in Armenia with American partnership, will take place within the framework of the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and jurisdiction of the countries.

In this regard,  Minister Mirzoyan thanked Seyed Abbas Araghchi for his principled reference to the Washington agreements.

The sides also exchanged views on preparations for upcoming consultations and high-level contacts between Armenia and Iran.
