Washington declaration to open chapter of peace and prosperity – Armenian PM

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan expressed confidence that the joint declaration signed in Washington with Azerbaijan will open a chapter of peace, security and economic cooperation.

“Today’s declaration signed by myself, President of Azerbaijan & President Trump who also witnessed this historic development gives confidence that we are opening a chapter of peace, prosperity, security & economic cooperation in the South Caucasus. While initialing of the peace treaty will pave the way to end the decades of conflict, opening of transport communications in the region, including TRIPP - Trump Road for Peace & Prosperity - will unlock strategic economic opportunities that will create long-term benefits,” he said on X.

He also lauded the historic engagement with Trump to advance bilateral ties.

“Historic engagement with President Donald Trump as we unite our efforts as strategic partners for more peaceful & prosperous future. I appreciate this wonderful opportunity to advance Armenia-US cooperation, stronger regional connectivity that will serve interests of our great nations,” Pashinyan added.
