Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has lauded his meeting with US President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Washington, D.C.
“The future is today,” he said in a statement on social media after the meeting. “Glory to the martyrs and long live the Republic of Armenia.”
Armenia and the US signed bilateral partnership agreements during the meeting.
The trilateral Armenia-US-Azerbaijan meeting resulted in the signing of a joint declaration whereby Armenia and Azerbaijan are committing to "stop all fighting forever, open up commerce travel and diplomatic relations and respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity," President Trump said in his remarks. The declaration also establishes a transit link between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
