US may announce something 'positive, maybe not' - Rubio on US-Russia talks

The US may make certain announcements during the day following the meeting of the US president’s special representative, Steve Witkoff, with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, according to a statement by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a meeting with Serbia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Đurić.

"Maybe positive, maybe not," Rubio told reporters when asked about potential announcements regarding discussions.

Rubio said Witkoff is returning from the talks ahead of a US ceasefire deadline and that he had just spoken with the envoy by phone.
