Trump warns of raising India tariffs 'substantially' over profiting from Russian oil

President Donald Trump has stated that India is purchasing significant quantities of oil from Russia and then reselling it for profit. In a message posted on Truth Social on Monday, President Trump criticized India’s actions and  announced plans to substantially increase tariffs on goods imported from India to the United States.

“India is not only buying massive amounts of Russian Oil, they are then, for much of the Oil purchased, selling it on the Open Market for big profits,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform Monday. “They don’t care how many people in Ukraine are being killed by the Russian War Machine. Because of this, I will be substantially raising the Tariff paid by India to the USA.''
