The pretrial measure against Armen Ashotyan, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), has been changed: house arrest has been replaced with administrative supervision. Ashotyan’s lawyer, Tigran Atanesyan, has announced on social media, noting that the specific terms of the new measure are not yet known.

"The decision will be available to us on Monday. I was also informed that a copy of the decision has already been sent to the Probation Service," Atanesyan wrote.

Ashotyan, a former Minister of Education, was taken into custody on June 14, 2023, for allegedly violating court-ordered bail conditions amid an ongoing investigation into suspected abuse of power and embezzlement at Yerevan State Medical University.
