President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan has left for a three-day working visit to the Syunik region.
According to the Presidential office, the visit began with a consultation led by President Khachaturyan. The meeting was attended by Syunik Governor Robert Ghukasyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan, representatives of law enforcement agencies and heads of local communities.
During the consultation, Governor Ghukasyan presented the progress of sectoral programs implemented in the province, noted achievements and ongoing challenges. He also outlined the steps being taken to address them. Minister Khudatyan provided an overview of the government-initiated programs currently underway in Syunik.
The President of the Republic learned from the participants of the consultation about the general situation in the region, including the socio-psychological atmosphere, which was reported on by representatives of law enforcement agencies and community leaders.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Khachaturyan responded to questions raised by regional officials, addressing key priorities of Armenia’s domestic and foreign policy.
