Ambassador of Armenia to the United States Lilit Makunts has met with Congressman Brad Schneider (D-IL).
Congressman Schneider represents Illinois's 10th Congressional District and as of January 3, 2025 is the Chair of New Democrat Coalition (Centrist Democrats).
The meeting focused on strengthening Armenia–U.S. relations and deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries, according to a readout issued by the Armenian embassy.
Regional developments in the South Caucasus and the efforts of the Government of Armenia to normalize relations with neighboring countries were touched upon.
