Armenian Deputy FM , Dutch official exchange views on Armenia–Netherlands cooperation within COP17

Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan met with Mark Roscam Abbing, the Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature of the Netherlands, the foreign ministry has said in a readout.

Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan briefed his counterpart on the priorities and vision of Armenia regarding the meeting of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, to be held in Yerevan in 2026 and its effective organization.

The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized the pivotal role of the Conference for the first global review of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework commitments, highlighting the importance of concerted efforts by all stakeholders in this context.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation between Armenia and the Netherlands within the framework of the Conference.
