FISU World University Games 2025 open in Germany: Armenia represented by 18 athletes

The 2025 Summer World University Games have officially kicked off in Germany. An Armenian delegation, supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, is participating in the event.

According to the ministry, Armenia is represented by 18 athletes who will compete in seven sports.

Artistic gymnast Julieta Avetisyan and taekwondoist Sargis Muradyan carried the Armenian flag during the opening ceremony, which took place at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg.
