Armenia committed to the agenda of democratic reforms: Pashinyan

Armenia is committed to the democratic reform agenda supported by the European Union, which serves as a strong foundation for the further development of relations between Yerevan and Brussels, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and President of the European Council António Costa.

"Of course, we have a broad agenda to discuss, and today’s meeting is very appropriate for that. I totally agree that cooperation between Armenia and the European Union is developing visibly and rapidly, which is certainly a fortunate fact for us, as this is our strategic direction," the Armenian Prime Minister noted.

Pashinyan also thanked the EU for supporting Armenia’s democratic reform agenda. “This is not new, but we feel that the support is becoming increasingly effective. We remain committed to the democratic reform agenda, which I believe provides a very solid foundation for the further development of our relations,” the Prime Minister said.
