Seven new arrests have been made in the investigation into the 10 November 2020 riots in Yerevan, authorities announced.
The Investigative Committee said that a joint investigation with National Security Service agents identified the suspects, and they were placed under arrest.
Investigators have asked a court bail hearing to approve pre-trial surveillance measures.
The 2020 riots were sparked by the announcement of the Russia-mediated Nagorno-Karabakh armistice. Rioters violently breached the government headquarters and the parliament building. Then-Speaker of Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan, who is now the Foreign Minister, survived a violent assault by several rioters outside parliament.
