Pashinyan-Aliyev meeting underway in Abu Dhabi

The meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has begun in Abu Dhabi, the Armenian PM’s spokesperson, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, has announced. 

The meeting is being held as part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process.

Top government officials are taking part in the meeting from both sides.

The Armenian delegation includes FM Ararat Mirzoyan, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, Deputy PM and head of the border delimitation commission Mher Grigoryan, as well as Vice Speaker of Parliament and special representative for normalization with Turkiye Ruben Rubinyan.

The Azerbaijani delegation includes FM Jeyhun Bayramov, Deputy PM and head of the border delimitation commission Shahin Mustafayev, Azeri presidential aide Hikmat Hajiyev and special presidential envoy Elchin Amirbekov.

PM Pashinyan arrived in Abu Dhabi on July 9 and held a meeting with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
