Greek MP advocates Armenia’s efforts to normalize relations with neighbors

Armenian Ambassador to Greece Tigran Mkrtchyan met with Dimitris Avramopoulos, a member of the Greek Parliament and former Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Defense from the ruling "New Democracy" party.

According to the Armenian Embassy in Greece, during the meeting, Ambassador Mkrtchyan presented Armenia’s foreign policy priorities to the Greek politician. He also introduced the Armenian government's "Crossroads of Peace" project, spoke about Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, and highlighted the importance of normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations.

Dimitris Avramopoulos emphasized the importance of resolving disagreements exclusively through diplomatic means and welcomed Armenia's initiative to normalize relations with its neighbors.

The sides also discussed the need to further develop and deepen Greek-Armenian relations.

 In that context, upcoming initiatives aimed at enhancing parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries were reviewed.
