Israel launches Operation Black Flag against Yemen

Israel has launched a bombing operation targeting key infrastructure in Yemen.

The Israeli military accused the Houthi “terrorist regime” of repurposing ports and power stations for military use.

The Operation Black Flag campaign was announced on July 7 by Defense Minister Israel Katz.

Israel targeted infrastructure at the Yemeni ports of Hodeidah, Ras Isa, and Al-Salif, and a power station at Ras Katib.

“These ports are used by the Houthi terrorist regime to transfer weapons from the Iranian regime, which are employed to carry out terrorist operations against the State of Israel and its allies,” the IDF claimed in a statement on X.

Meanwhile, a Houthi spokesperson claimed that most of the Israeli attacks in Hodeidah were repelled with the use of air defense systems. The Houthis vowed more support for Palestinians.
