President Khachaturyan receives outgoing Swedish Ambassador

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sweden to Armenia, Patrick Svensson, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.

According to the Presidential Office,  welcomed the Ambassador and expressed gratitude for the work  he had done at the Embassy over the past five years.

"Through your consistent and dedicated efforts, you have made a significant contribution to strengthening relations between Armenia and Sweden," he said.

In response, Ambassador Svensson expressed appreciation for the warm reception and remarks:
"The last few weeks have been quite an exciting and emotional phase in my life. It has been a great honor and pleasure to live and work in Armenia for the past five years. Armenia is a wonderful country with exceptional people. I have been honored to learn from, get to know, and collaborate with many wonderful Armenians."

During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of Armenia-Sweden relations, emphasizing the importance of enhancing political dialogue and deepening cooperation in various fields.

President Khachaturyan highly valued Sweden's long-standing support for strengthening democracy in Armenia. He stressed the importance of applying Swedish experience in areas such as good governance, rule of law, the expansion of civil society's role, and the protection of human rights.

The meeting also addressed opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, and high-tech sectors. It was noted that there remains significant untapped potential for the development of economic ties between the two countries.
