New evidence corroborating the accusations against a number of suspects in the coup plot has been found, the Investigative Committee has said.
Among the evidence, investigators found a large number of incendiary devices intended for damaging power supply and internet connection, it said.
Several members of the “Sacred Struggle” movement led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan were arrested on terrorism charges Wednesday and accused of plotting to overthrow the government.
Authorities earlier said they found firearms, documents, operational plans and other evidence at the suspects’ homes.
The suspects have denied the charges.
15 suspects, including Galstanyan, have been remanded in pre-trial detention.
