Armenian PM meets Georgia's interior minister

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Georgia’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Gela Geladze.

Pashinyan welcomed Geladze’s visit to Armenia and congratulated him on assuming office, according to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed hope that cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries would be as active and effective as possible during Geladze’s tenure. He noted that the Armenian government would make every effort to support this goal.

Minister Geladze thanked the Prime Minister for the warm reception and conveyed greetings from Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. He emphasized the importance of the centuries-old friendship and strong cooperation between the two nations in promoting regional peace and stability.

Details of the discussions between the Armenian and Georgian interior ministers were shared. It was reported that the parties discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation and shared challenges.

Topics included partnership in the field of migration, joint efforts to combat crime and drug trafficking, and upcoming agreements to be signed.
