‘We didn’t lose Nagorno-Karabakh, we found the Republic of Armenia,’ says PM

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has responded to accusations that “Armenia has lost Nagorno-Karabakh.” 

“There’s been a lot of talk that we have lost Nagorno-Karabakh. Naturally, I have given this a lot of thought, and my conclusion is the following, we didn’t lose Nagorno-Karabakh, we found the Republic of Armenia,” he said in parliament.

Pashinyan said that for many years the Nagorno-Karabakh issue had been used as a “leash” to prevent Armenia from developing. 

“The Republic of Armenia is developing and I am more optimistic about its future than ever before,” Pashinyan said.
