Armenia assisted India in evacuating nationals from Iran

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and his Indian counterpart Dr. S. Jaishankar have discussed the possibility of evacuating Indian students from Iran through Armenian territory, foreign ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan confirmed to Armenpress following corresponding Indian media reports.
“The Armenian and Indian foreign ministers have discussed the possibility of evacuating Indian students from Iran through the territory of Armenia. The respective assistance has been provided by Armenia,” Badalyan said.
Indian media earlier reported that amid escalating airstrikes between Israel and Iran, India has been exploring evacuation routes for its citizens in Iran, with discussions underway to potentially use neighboring Armenia for safe passage.
