Iran and Israel targeted each other with missiles and airstrikes early on Saturday after Israel launched its biggest-ever air offensive against Iran in a bid to prevent it from developing a nuclear weapon, Reuters reported.
Air raid sirens sounded across Israel, including in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
The Times of Israel said 3 people were killed and dozens wounded in Israel.
In Iran, several explosions were heard overnight in the capital Tehran, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported.
The Fars news agency said two projectiles hit Tehran's Mehrabad airport.
Israel said it continues striking Iranian ballistic missile capabilities and launch sites.
Iran’s Fars news agency on Friday reported that at least 78 people were killed and 329 others injured in the Israeli attacks on Tehran.
