A number of airlines diverted international flights on Friday as Iran and several other adjacent countries closed their airspace and conducted forced landings in Yerevan’s Zvartnots airport or in airports of other countries in the region.
The Armenian National Security Service said that passengers of the diverted flights included citizens of Armenia and ethnic Armenians, whose flights have landed in Baku, Azerbaijan. At the same time, Azerbaijani citizens have landed in Yerevan under the same circumstances.
The state bodies are carrying out consistent work over the matter, the National Security Service said.
