Authorities again deny newspaper reports on redrawn borders

The Office of the Security Council of Armenia has again denied the newspaper report that claimed Armenia will lose 180 square kilometers territory in the delimitation process with Azerbaijan.

Hraparak newspaper, citing what it called a map of the delimitation plan it had obtained, claimed that Armenia will surrender “around 6 times more territory” than it would gain. It published two such reports, with the first one again being denied as fake news by authorities.

It claimed that the border has been drawn by Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan and Azeri presidential aide Hikmat Hajiyev.

The Office of the Security Council denied the report as fake news.

The report is entirely untrue, fake and made up, it said.

Furthermore, it also said that all issues pertaining to the delimitation process are discussed exclusively within the framework of the joint activities of the Armenian and Azerbaijani border delimitation and border security commissions led by the deputy PMs.
