Council of Europe Secretary General visits Armenian Genocide memorial

Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset has visited the Armenian Genocide memorial in Yerevan.

He was accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan.

Edita Gzoyan, the Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, welcomed the CoE Secretary General.

Secretary General Alain Berset placed a wreath at the memorial commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide, the Museum-Institute said in a press release. Berset then laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and observed a moment of silence in honor of the Armenian Genocide victims.
