Armenian FM, IAEA chief discuss cooperation

On June 10, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The meeting took place on the sidelines of the third UN Ocean Conference in Nice, France. 

FM Mirzoyan and Director General Grossi discussed the cooperation between Armenia and the IAEA, including “ongoing activities for the safe use of nuclear energy and the effective utilization of opportunities provided by the development of nuclear science and technologies,” the foreign ministry said in a readout. 

They addressed the Armenian government’s priorities in the field of nuclear energy and cooperation with international partners.

Mirzoyan and Grossi also exchanged views on regional developments.
