PM Pashinyan, Matviyenko discuss Armenia-Russia ties

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russia’s top senator Valentina Matviyenko, during their meeting in Yerevan on June 6, discussed the Armenia-Russia agenda, according to the readout released by the Armenian Prime Minister’s Office.

PM Pashinyan addressed “the current state of the relationship between Armenia and Russia.”

“Valentina Matviyenko thanked for the warm reception, reiterating Russia’s readiness to continue cooperation with Armenia based on mutual respect and friendship,” the Prime Minister’s Office said. 

"Pashinyan and Matviyenko exchanged views around a number of agenda items between Armenia and Russia, including interparliamentary contacts, as well as economic and cultural ties," according to the readout. 

Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matviyenko is on an official visit to Armenia.
