Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan received a delegation led by Osvaldo Zavala Giler, Registrar of the International Criminal Court (ICC), who arrived in Armenia to participate in the "Yerevan Dialogue" international forum.
The meeting was also attended by Viktor Biyagov, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, during the meeting Vardapetyan addressed the development of prosecutorial capacities after the ratification of the Rome Statute, including the enhancement of knowledge in the fields of international criminal law and international justice.
Osvaldo Zavala Giler expressed his gratitude to Anna Vardapetyan for the reception and emphasized that the Republic of Armenia's efforts to fulfill its obligations are evident.
The parties also discussed the possibilities of ICC support in line with the needs of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia.
Other issues of mutual interest were also addressed.
